Karratha and West Pilbara Coast weather

Australia’s West Pilbara Coast and its hub, Karratha, have the ideal weather and climate for holidaying from April to October. It is the perfect place to enjoy winter daytime temperatures, averaging around 30°C. During the cyclone season, from November to March, the region receives its annual rainfall and weather conditions vary. If you are travelling during these months you should be well prepared and aware of the flooding risks. The region has both tropical and semi-desert climates, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 45°C.

Located in the cyclone belt of northern Western Australia (WA), weather conditions in Karratha and across the West Pilbara Coast can change quite dramatically from day to day, particularly in the summer. So if you’re travelling, keep an eye on the forecasts.
