Harding Dam self drive day trip

Harding Dam, on Western Australia’s (WA) West Pilbara Coast, is the ideal destination for a self drive day trip and relaxing picnic. Shady gazebos are set along grassed areas at the water’s edge. Toilets and barbecue facilities are available.

Directions from Karratha Visitor Centre

1. Follow Karratha Dampier Road, heading towards the North West Coastal Highway.
2. Turn left onto the North West Coastal Highway, follow for 32 kilometres into De Grey Street.
3. Turn right into Cherratta Road.
5. Keep left and stay on Cherratta Road, follow for 6 kilometres.
6. Turn left at Robe River Road, follow for 12 kilometres.
7. Continue on Cooya Pooya Road 10 kilometres.
9. Turn left and follow track for three kilometres into Harding Dam Reserve.
